NEXO is not an official University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) app: it is neither published nor endorsed by the university. It is an independent project made by a student.
GAUR you look at.
Nexo you use.
Import your GAUR data once and you get a planner, a timetable and a grade simulator in an app built for a phone. eGela, in the same tab. Free, no account, no ads.
The badges come from Apple's and Google's own official kits: as soon as the files are in, they drop in here at size.
While the Google Play listing is in review: install the APK by hand on Android.
Try it: tap the tabs and the EU/ES switch · made-up data
A whole academic year,
told from the inside.
Nexo doesn't add one more portal: it takes what you already have in GAUR and eGela and arranges it for a phone. This is everything it does, everything it doesn't, and what's still missing.
You sign in with your university account from inside the app and Nexo reads timetable, enrolment, groups and transcripts. It happens on your phone: neither credentials nor transcript reach any server of mine.
From that data it builds the week with rooms and buildings, the planner with assignments and exams, and the transcript with the weight of every part of every subject.
Which class you have now and where, what's due today and what grade you need in the final. Two taps and on with your day: it isn't built to keep you.
What comes from eGela and what you write down yourself, in the same list. One reminder the day before and one two hours ahead.
Week and day view with room, building and group. Up top, the class you're in and the minutes left.
Credit-weighted average and, subject by subject, what you need in whatever is left to be graded.
Transcript, records and enrolment rebuilt for a phone screen. The same data, without pinching to zoom.
eGela notices and tasks inside the app, without signing in again and without switching tabs.
Basque, Spanish and English across the whole app, with the switch always in the header.
It doesn't ask for an account. You open it and use it: no signup, no confirmation email, no new password to remember.
It doesn't store your grades. Neither your grades nor your credentials live on any server of mine: they stay on your phone.
It carries no ads. Not now and not when more people use it. No paid features hidden behind it either.
It isn't official. Neither built nor endorsed by the University of the Basque Country. It says so in the store and on the first screen.
If any of these four ever changes, it goes in the journal before it happens.
No promised dates: when something lands, it goes in the journal with the version.
- Is it from the university?
- No. I build it myself, on my own, and I say so everywhere it appears.
- What if GAUR changes?
- The import breaks. I fix it and write it up in the journal with the date, so you know whether it's you or me.
- Why is it free?
- Because I built it for myself. Keeping it up costs €17 a month and the books are open at support Nexo.
Nexo will stay free.
Someone has to pay for it.
I'm not asking for a salary: I'm asking for the invoices. Publishing the app cost €124 and keeping it up is €17 a month. When the month is covered I say so and stop asking.
What it is NOT spent on: no salary, no advertising and no paid features behind this. If there's anything left over one month, I carry it into the next and publish it in the journal.
Payments aren't open yet — once Stripe is connected, the button goes there.
Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. I store no payment data: Stripe handles it.
